3 Litre Camshafts
 
 

The camshaft should be free to rotate, both together and inside each other. Should they tend to stick, they must be pulled out and rubbed down by emery cloth. The levers can then be replaced, and care must be taken so as not to have the outside lever too close to the one on the inside, as if this happens they will bind together on the bush separating them. The shoes must next be assembled and the springs tightened up equally. Replace the drums, start the engine, and then apply the brakes. Note if either side comes on first, and tighten the spring on this side if it happens.
