3 Litre Dynamo
 
 

If it becomes necessary to increase the charging rate of the dynamo, the nickel-plated end cover should first be removed. This will then expose the commutator, the brush gear, and the armature bearings. Around the external circumference of the main body of the dynamo are nuts on studs which pass through slots. These nuts must be undone and the brush gear rotated in a clockwise direction to increase the output and in the reverse direction to decrease it. The maximum charging rate should never be allowed to exceed 9 amps. or damage may be caused to the dynamo and battery.
