On
May 31 this year, a group of Bentley motorcars (including 20 or
so W.O.s) will leave Vancouver, British Columbia to cover 5000 miles
of spectacular countryside over the next 25 days.
Organiser of the tour David Cohen talks of a route that covers territory
featuring "mighty snow capped mountains, rushing rivers of
clear sparkling water, and pristine forests teeming with a wide
variety of animals from grizzly bears to moose, mountain sheep and
numerous other smaller animals... One will have an opportunity to
stand on glaciers and travel down paved roads where the only other
humans will be your fellow participants."
The tour will pass through Whistler the site of the 2010
Winter Olympics, the Canadian Rockies, Whitehorse and historic town
of Dawson City in the Yukon, where time seems to have stood still
since the Gold Rush days, as well as Anchorage, Alaska. The group
will sample the Inside Passage by ferry on the way to the finish
in picturesque Victoria.

The Cohens have been up to their ears in preparations for the tour
to Adele Cohen it is like organising dozens of weddings back
to back! And then we asked if they would still consider new participants
by the time this Newsletter reached our readers. "If anyone
still wishes to join they should get hold of us very soon"
is what David had to say. The big issue, it appears, would be getting
the cars shipped to Vancouver on time.
