"Hi Robert, After a miserable winter with Carb related issues, now have had a fun filled summer of motoring in Burbling Bertie the Bentley doing various shows and Brooklands Museum Events. Ran last weekend at Dunsfold (Top Gear Track) and had a good set of runway runs. Standing Start Mile with a terminal velocity of 93mph and had a VIP passenger for one of the runs as well.

Shere Hill Climb next weekend which should be nice and waiting for new windscreen from David Pearce so currently running in Low Drag Format!!!"

"Purchased 1996 and rebuilt by Jim Pearce 1997, Tony Fabian rebuilt Engine 2000 and I Inherited the car from my father in 2003. This pic is from Wings and Wheels 2010. 0-100mph standing start mile cant't be bad in an old banger!!!"

The car was purchased by Richard Wade's father in 1996.

Some competition pictures of Burbling Bertie in the early 2000's and one of me at Dunsfold.

1) Dad at Goodwood Sprint Nov 2001
2) Dad at Goodwood Sprint Nov 2002 - This was the last time he competed in the car and despite horrendous weather and nearing the end of his life he posted his personal best time round the circuit that day.
3) Me at Brighton Speed Trials Sept 2003 - It's no drag racer!!! Something horrendous like 21 secs for the 1/4 mile...
4) Dunsfold Wings and Wheels - Bertie the Car and Bertie the Brooklands Museum Bear.

Busy summer ahead of motoring, Brooklands Events, Dunsfold Runs and Silverstone Classic.
