"My father, Noel Roscoe owned this car for over 20 years. He remembers the car when he was young when a family friend, Teddy Comeford then owned it. Many years later he saw the car for sale and purchased it. For many years it had been abroad in Dar-es-salaam. When he purchased it he drove it over to Teddy's house to show him. Teddy by then was very old, but it did not stop him driving it as if it was yesterday. I do have pictures of the car. It was a beautiful car and wished I owned it. I would love to see the car again."

"This 3-litre Bentley, owned by my friend Brian Ashworth, is a genuine Red Label short chassis model" writes A.F. Rivers Fletcher.

"Brian Ashworth is 6ft. 3in. tall and has only one leg, his right limb being an aluminium alloy affair which won't bend of its own accord. On this account the central throttle pedal had to be scrapped in favour of the now more usual position to the right of the brake pedal. Quite apart from this necessity for the change of pedal arrangement to suit the disabled owner, I find it a very real improvement, the present position being so general in these days that the old arrangement would sometimes leave one guessing which way to go for the brake."

The car was first registered in March 1928; the previous owner Bernard Clason was believed to have been the car's first owner.
