  More Info: According to original Vanden Plas Coachbuilder records, this car was originally fitted with Body No. 1401 with a Speed model, standard 4-door, 4-seater Sports; 7/1927.

Michael Hay, in his book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997, states: "Vanden Plas body no. 1401. Accident 11/31 - rebuilt on reconditioned frame - rec f/axle bed fitted. Engine PM3269 ex ch. PM3274 - ML1521 in ch. 1102."
