This car has a very
chequered history. Its first body
was a Harrison limousine. According
to Bentley: The Vintage Years
by Michael Hay, it was rebuilt during
the 1950s as a Freestone & Webb
Fixed Head Coupe (ex. chassis FR 2631).
It was then restored for a Swedish
collector by R. C. Moss in the mid
1990's, modified to Speed Six specifications
and rebodied with a H. J. Mulliner
Weymann Saloon (ex BA2592). After
Claire Hay's finding evidence that
ex Barnato BA2592 was the actual "Blue
Train" Speed Six, the saloon
body was refitted to that chassis
and WB2562 was rebodied as a Vanden
Plas LeMans replica (c2004). |
