We are happy to support the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) initiative to get more children into engineering. Thanks to our customers, Blue Diamond Riley Services were able to take a Brooklands, MPH and a 3 4½ Bentley to Bury Grammar School and talk to the children about vintage cars.

They particularly liked the difference in size between the Bentley and the Brooklands and how the two companies varied in their approach to racing. All enjoyed playing at being a racing driver sitting in the driving seat.

Allowing the next generation up close and in contact with our cars is essential to keep the hobby alive. Yes the cars may have returned with a few fingerprints on, but what fingerprint is better than that of a potential new enthusiast?

This photograph is from an advertisement by Frank Dale & Stepsons in "Thoroughbred & Classic Cars" magazine. March 1980.

Text in advt reads: 1927 3-litre short-chassis Bentley with original bodywork by Henlys. Finished in Burgundy with black mudguards and black hide interior, this is a truly exceptional vintage Bentley which is as near perfect mechanically as a fifty-three year old car can be, and it is in showstand condition in every respect. Highly recommended.

"YF 7602 seen in the film 'Every Home Should Have One' driven by the actor Dinsdale Landen. The film was released in 1970 and it's jolly good. Either the car had a different livery or it was a different Bentley with the reg mark."
