3/4½ litre Bentley - Dragonfly
3/4½ litre with original body and bullet proof engine. Must be driven to be appreciated.

"The exception that proves the rule." It is rare in the vintage car world, let alone the automotive world, for a car to be equally at home on the race track and the road. However this car achieves the impossible, raced extensively in Europe and in the UK, as well as rallied and toured. Finished to a very high cosmetic condition and tuned and maintained with no expense spared.

"This very special 3 Litre sports Bentley has been in this guise for as long as anybody can remember. In fact, after you've drooled over the pics, look at the next page to see it in the 1930's. There are two other pics taken in the 1960s, but I digress.

This is how real Bentley boys enjoyed their motoring long before the idiots with their matching numbers crap (well I've said it now, so you know where my heart lies).

This is a Bentley to enjoy. It runs great and because it has a later engine it can easily be upgraded to 4½ litre. Not only has it a later engine but 4½ litre self rapping brakes, compensator and 4½ litre steering making this special Bentley bloody marvelous to look at and drive."

"Lovely Le Mans style open Tourer Born as a long chassis Tourer now a nice short chassis open tourer! Chassis 341, engine SR1415 UK Registration XO 9313. Nice period rebody. Bought from a well known Bentley Guru a few years ago and little used. British Racing Green with dark green leather interior. 20 inch wheels.

Apparently the current bodywork is a period rebody as we have a lovely period picture showing this bodywork and the front window the car still has. With the car comes a sheet with Bentley history from 1923-1932, showing owners, maintenance and repairs in this period. First owner was a Mr L. Owen of Kensington London It already had an engine overhaul in 1928 according to factory records and again in 1930!

Names of owners were: E.S. Nelson 1954/1955, PJ Redsen -1957, R Danielle -1962, J.H. Roberts -1971, C.R. Bussay -1976, J.G. Galliers -2001, P. Sears -2004, Then to current Dutch owner. The car has Original English registration XO 9313 (EC tax paid) and can be imported without paying tax in other EC countries."
