1929 Bentley 4½ litre Le Mans
This 1929 4½ Litre Bentley has continuous ownership history from new and benefits from considerable recent mechanical preparation.

The Freestone and Webb saloon body originally supplied to this chassis was replaced after a short period of time with a 2 seater open sports body by Cooper. Such were the changes in fashion of the period. This lightweight sports body fared remarkably well and more recently has been replaced with four seater coachwork. The whole car presents splendidly and requires no further expenditure having had a recent engine rebuild by a marque specialist. Delightful in appearance and with very good performance and handling this very usable and enjoyable vintage Bentley represents excellent value and is ready to be enjoyed.

This is a late series 4.5 litre, shortened and rebodied in period. Several distinguished recent past owners have spent considerable time and expense rebuilding the car for ultimate fitness for fast international travelling and it has potential for further development as an out-and-out racer.

Being a proper 4.5 litre, and carrying period coachwork, it is eligible for FIA and FIVA certification and therefore any international event, touring, sporting and racing.

The present family has enjoyed faultless and fast runs to the Continent, benefitting from the new crank and rods, superior brakes, light flywheel, reliable coil ignition.
