This car is owned by the Porter Family. It was in the longtime ownership of John Julien in Wisconsin until his death. It was purchased by John Porter in a barn-find state and restored.

Contact with the original owners children indicates that the car was originally a Gurney Nutting Drop Head coupe and not a saloon as indicated by records. The body was heavily modified after the war. Car was raced with the BDC at Silverstone through the 1950s and in the sixties shipped to the States.

The car now wears a body styled after a Gurney Nutting tourer. Many parts of the original body that could be saved were, including the cowl, floorboards, dash and other trim pieces. After inspection by Dr. Hay, and other experts it is believed to be one of the most original chassis in the world. Having lived a very sheltered existence for 40 years in the Julien collection and having very low miles, the engine still wears its original hand scraped finish marks.
