VDP replica tourer 1928 for sale
This handsome 1928 Bentley 4
1/2 litre Vanden Plas replica tourer
(Chassis HF3190 - Engine HF3188 -
Registration UC6531) was built up
in 2004, sporting a new 10/10 chassis,
tub and Le Mans folding windscreen.
It is fitted with SU dual slopers,
BS gearbox, Scintilla magneto/coil
ignition, Laycock overdrive, electric
fan, Marchal headlamps, proper instrumentation,
green livery, green Connolly hides,
black canvas top, full tonneau cover,
and rear storage compartment. Campaigned
by current owner Ed Gehringer on many
BDC rallies since 2005.

The following information
was received from car owner Ed Gehringer
in November 2010:
"Currently sports a new frame,
plus new tub and windscreen by Jim
Pearce. The engine is HF3188, out
of chassis HF3176. It has been rallied
extensively in the US and England
since 2004, and will participate in
the month long BDC 75th Anniversary
Tour of England, Scotland and Wales
in 2011."
