Classis & Sports Car, November 2013
"Chassis FB3303 is the current chassis on the car with the Registration SC3206.
However the car used to have Chassis ST3001, at which time the registration number
was YH3196 (Old Mother Gun). When the chassis were swapped in the late 1980s all the
components other than the axles and chassis were retained. The axles and chassis,
which were from the Le-Mans car were used to build up the current Old Mother Gun car
which now resides in Japan or China.
Also see the attached article."

Chassis is currently
under a 1925 Gurney Nutting saloon
body. Famously known as 'Ethel' this
car has an 'R' type engine from a
MkVI and was raced extensively in
the 1970s whilst wearing its previous
chassis, ST3001. This chassis was
subsiquently rebuilt to its original
the Le-Mans winning spec, Old Mother
Gun. Chassis FB3303 gave up its engine
FB3310 for 'Old Mother Gun' its original
Le-Mans engine being with another
BDC club member for many years.
Simon Laidlaw has been owner since
2003.
