4½ Liter Tourer
Engine: Bentley Carburetor Engine
Cylinders: 4 (Series)
Displacement: 4398 cc
Power: 111 kW (151 hp) at 3250 rpm to 136 kW (185 hp) at 3900 rpm
One of the truly authentic 4½ liter Bentley, which is characterized by robust mechanical health and an optimal level of grown patina. The VanDenPlas Tourer construction is just not modeled or restored, but left by the owner as he found him. Incidentally, a completely traceable history,
For the company and model history of Bentley, we certainly need nothing more to say, because it is all known. About the car itself: Within the Bentley-Boys, a well-known phenomenon whose life we would like to describe to you personally during a personal visit.
The 4½ liter had from the house about 110 - 120 hp, which can be relaitv but slightly raise through meaningful and healthy measures, so the here mentioned about 150 hp may well be present. But it's enough, because Bentley horses are twice as strong as the other...
From the 4½ liter between 1927 and 1931 exactly 665 chassis were built. For the superstructures, the buyers made even the most different coachbuilders.
With a WOBentley, especially as 4½ liter, you can do anything at any time. The deciding factor is not the car but the driver.
The legendary ohc-4-Cylinder is characterized by four-valve technology and by the camshaft drive by means of a vertical shaft. Dimensions are 100 mm x 140 mm equal to 4,398 cc. Sackcylinder. Basic power 110 hp at about 3,000 rpm. As usual with the constructions of those years, speed increase immediately leads to more power. If that succeeds, open end ...
Author had opportunity to drive all models of the WO series. The 4½ liter is the best combination of size and performance. He is therefore the preferred Bentley of the hard core of the scene.
