1923 Bentley 3 Litre |
Chassis No. 268
Engine No. 267
Registration No. PD 6045 |
|
|
|
|
Ch 268 has unknown
body, 1st owner listed as 'Major Whately'.
This might be an understandable error
for the dealer Gordon Watney. If so,
Ch 268 might be the Salmons center-door
saloon shown in The Autocar, 27 July
1923 (date is about right), which
Watney & Co delivered to 'Mr.
Clough'. No Clough or Salmons in relevant
chassis dates, though J. Clough had
earlier Ch 117, an allweather from
Wilton Carriage of Croydon. |
