Michael Hay, in his book Bentley:
The Vintage Years, 1997, states:
"Vanden Plas body no. 1523."
Comment on this car in a book by Johnny
Green: "6 1/2 litre Bentley Drop-head
Coupe incorporating dickey seat of exceptional
comfort, the lid of which was spring
loaded and could be opened by the driver
releasing a catch from within. Body
1523, painted black and blue, September
