"My car is recorded on your web site, Chassis AB3356, Engine HF 3188, this engine having been installed in the in the 1950's. The BDC club records show this information, as does May's definitive book likewise. I happen to see that also on your records are details of Chassis HF 3176 [a car according to May lost in the 50's], also quoting engine HF 3188. Certainly chassis HF 3176 and engine HF 3188 were united originally, but that car disappeared 60 years ago, at which time my car acquired its engine, installed by a very well known man at that time in club circles called McClure. The BDC have no current record of chassis HF 3176 still existing although seemingly the chassis has been found or recreated in more recent times. I bring this to your attention simply for the correctness of your records."

"I have owned chassis AB 3356 (reg. JK 601 in UK) for a number of years and I am missing its history for the period 1970 to 1996 when I understand it resided in the United States possibly at one time with the car collector Bud Cohn. I would like to fill the bit of history in as I am able to track most of the car's other life."

Update received on Dec 31, 2010:
"Originally a Mulliner Weyman saloon. Bought in a tatty state in auction in Baker St. in 1947, fitted with a 3litre engine. Boby rotten, so it was rebodied as a tourer by D.G.Mc.Clure, who also fittrd the engine now in the car HF3188. He raced JK601 successfully for several years including winning the Tim Birkin Trophy at snetterton in May 1953. The car further competed in Singapore/Malaysia in the fifties whilst in the ownership of D.Mc.Iver. Several owners later and a period in the U.S.A. the car was fully restored and rebodied by Stanley Mann as a le-mans replica in the mid nineties, and then competed for a while by Bentley enthusiast G.Sandy, prior to present ownership in 2003."
