"I am trying to gather facts and write about my rather mysterious and obviously speed loving and wealthy Great Aunt Miss Nora (Hardy) McCaw.

She owned many Bentleys in the 1930s. Details of the W.O. Bentley can be seen below:

GN 6090 (Blower)
GJ 7597 (4½ Litre)
GX 2338 (8 Litre)
GK 8443 (perhaps the most famous of all The Green Hornet.)

I think there are more and then she moved on to Rolls Royces in the 1950s.

Is there any way you can search your records for past owners? You obviously have the most fabulous data base and I wondered if you can help me in my quest to track down some of her cars?"

"I am currently researching my great Aunt Nora Hardy MacCaw (Mccaw sometimes). You have a 1931 8 litre Bentley Reg: GX 2338, Chassis YM5036 on your site with some good photos. I have in my records that Nora MacCaw owned this car in 1933. I am exploring every avenue to find out more about her and wonder if the current owner has any of the early log books etc. which might help me.

Nora had many Bentleys, at least two Blowers before moving on to RR's in later years I think. She must have been quite a lady and her story deserves to be told and I'm trying to do it! One of her cars is at the VAN Institute in Florida and I recently had the pleasure of sitting in one of the blowers she owned. I would be most grateful if you would contact the current owner for me in case GX 2338 has a story to tell about Great Aunt Nora."
