While this car was undergoing a full rebuild it came to the attention of, and was purchased by, Neil Corner. A few years later he sold the car to Reg Parker. Although there were never any 8-Litre team cars at LeMans, this car was constructed to a specification calculated by W. O. Bentley, as if such a team had materialized. It was originally a saloon with a Mulliner body, converted to a shooting brake by Alpe and Saunders, and has now been endowed with a body to compliment its power potential.
