Originally bodied with a Saloon Body by Maythorn, Later rebodied with a "Townshend" Le-Mans type body (Townshend were the bodywork makers of the Le-Mans cars to Vanden-Plas design drawings) We believe this may have been done in around 1958 when Amazingly, the car was actually owned by Townshend (see stamped entry in the original Buff log book)
Full history file included.

A copy of the insert from the Bentley "Bible" by Dr Clair Hay, and the original "Buff" log book for the car are attached.

This is a Real WO Bentley, made by the real "Bentley Motors" with all correct matching chassis and engine numbers etc and a great continuous history. It is a "Heavy Crank" car meaning that it has the correct Stronger Supercharged crankshaft and heavy duty chassis etc that were intended only for the "Blowers" by the factory.

This car is for sale as of April 26, 2019

Back in the day, The last series of Bentley 4.5 Litres were made with the Blower spec "Heavy crank" engine. When you ordered one, you could have the option of a "Blower". Despite 50 others, the first owner of this car didn't choose that option because he apparently felt the fuel economy was more important to him. This 4.5 litre rolled out of the factory in 1930 and was fitted with the correct Townshend / Vandenplas Le Mans type body in 1965. In 1985, the supercharger was fitted and the car stayed like this to date. These modifications are well documented and were done exactly and correctly. Driving the car is a bliss and to start it doesn't take you more than a few seconds. The last owner enjoyed it for over 30 years and both raced and rallied all over the world.

This "fastest lorry in the world" puts a smile on your face with its 220bhp and wants you to keep going! This Bentley is very reliable hence the many rally's it did over the years. However It comes with the original toolkit from the factory and lots of spares you might need on a rally. The car is fully matching numbers and one of the finest examples on the market.

Are you ready to be one of the Bentley Boys? Just come and experience the King of the roads and you will not leave without this car. A truly amazing experience even for someone who drives pre-war cars every day. You have my word!"
