Dear Robert,

Here are two photographs I did of a rare 6½. Chassis SB2766 with original H.J. Mulliner Fixed Head Coupé body won a class victory at Schwetzingen Classic Gala 2016 (August 28).

A bit of info taken from the paper fixed to the side window: The car was delivered on 20.09.1929, originally owned by actor Carlyle Blackwell (1884-1955, of Sherlock Holmes "Hound of Baskerville" fame), married to Woolf Barnato's sister Leah. He drove the car quite a lot, almost 50.000 miles, selling it after 6 years.

In the same ownership since 1968, the car was exhibited at Sinsheim (SW Germany) museum from 1981 to 2015. It was renovated in 2015 and is in original, fully drivable condition. A true gem!

I participated in the 30-car RR/Bentley Palace Garden Parade at Schwetzingen (which is very close to Heidelberg, one hour south of Frankfurt) in front of the pretty pink Baroque Palace. SB2766 was not part of that parade but I saw it driving around in the park.

Kind Regards,
Norbert Andrup
