More Info: According to original Vanden Plas Coachbuilder
records, this car was originally fitted
with Body No. 1103 with a standard 4-seater
Sports; blue and black; 12/1924.
Michael Hay, in his book Bentley:
The Vintage Years, 1997, states:
"Vanden Plas body no. 1103. Salvaged
1937. 10'10" chassis cut to 9'9½" (sic).
?Rebuilt on chassis 922? Engine was
1053 now RE 1400 ex ch. RE 1396. Vanden
Plas 4 seater, now 4½ Litre engine." |
