"Regrettably I sold my 3/4½ a number of years ago (big mistake) so I am now again looking for a WO Bentley in any condition, year or model, from a bitsa to a nice original car. Would consider an incomplete car or in bits.
I have some pictures of my 3/4½. I will dig them out and send them over. Its chassis number is HT1633, I bought it in 2005 and sold it in 2012. I purchased her from Mr Gerard McCosh, Scotland.
My father also had a couple of 3 litres back in the day and was a trigger happy photographer and has stacks of pictures of WOs from the late 60s to 90s. He owned chassis numbers 387 and BL1620. These were the cars we grew up with from the 70s and 80s." |

"1928 BENTLEY TOURER AT £240,000
Registration Number: 2 UKF Chassis
Number: HT1633 Engine Number: NX3474
Price: £240,000
THE PERFECT RALLY VINTAGE BENTLEY
1928 BENTLEY FAST TOURER. If you and
your family want to enjoy your vintage
Bentley this is the traditional way
as demonstrated by one enthusiastic
Bentley loving family who kept
this car for over forty years.
Although starting life as a late 3
Litre Bentley (1928 chassis which
is the same as a 4½ ltr) she
has been uprate with 4½ bonnet,
radiator, bulkhead and genuine 4½
Litre engine - great for flying up
hills, also uprated brakes for going
down them. Then making sure youve
got enough seats add the most important
part. The whole family. Having done
this rally in it, go touring in it,
race it and enjoy it This is the stuff
that memories are made of.
What an enduring idea, as it is still
just as rebuilt to that specification
and subsequently fitted with Phoenix
crank and rods to ensure that she
carries on flying.
All work less than 2000 miles.
Get your coats and hats on for some
stonking Bentley family fun." |
