This car is presently owned by Guy Mahy.

"I intend to sell my 3/4.5. This car has very semi-sport wings, and the windscreen has a slight inclination. I think it is very nice, I bought it in 2009 with the intention to make long distance rallies but my wife likes driving light cars (for a small lady) more than the heavy Bentley... it stays too often in the garage..."

For sale at Stanley Mann Racing

The following information was found on the Stanley Mann website for this car as of Feb 19, 2009:

Registration Number: GJ 5686; Chassis Number: RE 1396; Engine Number: NT 3150; Price: POA

Says Stanley Mann, "This vintage Bentley still carries its original VDP coachwork and is in very nice order... it went back to the factory in 1930 to be reconditioned for sale. In those days the factory would do a complete once over, put up the car for sale and give a new guarantee."

According to Stanley Mann the upgrading to 4½ litre took place sometime in the late 40s namely the fitting of a 4½ engine and 4½ litre steering, etc.

He says, "I remember selling her in 1983 to a really super nice chap who then sold her back to me in 1985. He then decided, like his good lady, he couldn’t live without her and bought her back (the Bentley not his wife ) and kept this Bentley until his demise... The engine has been rebuilt with rear axle, water pump, all less than 4000 miles ago... It is now for sale and in mint usable condition having always been looked after as a Bentley should be."
