records, this car was originally fitted
with Body No. 1285 with a standard 4-seater
Sports; scratched aluminium / blue;
7/1926.
Michael Hay, in his book Bentley:
The Vintage Years, 1997, states:
"Vanden Plas body no. 1285. Rebuilt
by H M Bentley 1936 2 seater reg DLR
8, radiator off ch. ST 3001. 4½ Litre
engine RN 3026 ex ch. RN 3026, D box
and Borg & Beck clutch." |
