Clare Hay: "That's chassis BX2414, listed in the Bentley Service Records as sold through Greve but no body details given. First owner listed as Vasco Bensaude in 1930 address The Hague Netherlands, next to which "address insufficient". No trace after that. So now we have three Saoutchik vintage Bentleys - BX2414, the Speed Six coupe SB2769 and the 8 Litre continental demonstrator saloon YF5013."

Rob Geelen: "Happy to oblige! Thank you for the information. Vasco Bensaude (1896 - 1967) was not Dutch, but a member of a trading & shipowning family. He was born in Portugal, but they were mainly based in the Azores. He has been described as the economic octopus of the Island so he may have left taking the car with him? Still out there?"
