Canvas Top |

QUESTION I just bought
my second Bentley, a 1931 4 Litre chassis with
an 8-Litre engine which comes in handy in the
rocky mountains. The canvas top needs to be blackened,
do you know of a shop doing that or appropriate
material I should use?
One recommendation I got is to use Kiwi shoe polish
to blacken the canvas top! Does anyone else have
any other suggestions?

ANSWER
There is a British product called RENOVO
- World's Best Products for Convertible
Tops. Order kit CRK- cloth refinishing kit.
I refinished my faded cloth top and won
a national 1st place prize at the RROC meet
in Chicago. I do not remember where I ordered
the kit from but I recommend it highly.
It is water soluble for clean up and any
drops on the paint work can be cleaned up
with water. Highly recommended.
Ed.: We found a website for this company
at www.RenovoInternational.com.
The U. S. distributor of Renovo is larry@carcareonline.com
in New Jersey.
