QUESTION I will soon have
my 3 Litre back on the road. One of the reasons
I was inspired to do a complete ground-up restoration
was that a modern car drove into my rear wing
(fender), crushing it badly. I was not impressed
with my insurance company which, supposedly, specializes
in antique cars. I have since found few people
who have been pleased with the way insurance claims
are handled, no matter what company they have
dealt with. I hope you have not had an accident
with your Bentley, but positive experiences would
be worth hearing about - no matter what country
you live in.
Speaking of accidents, Vintage Bentley front seat
occupants have a tendency to put their heads through
the windshield, or are thrown out of a touring
car in a head-on collision. Seat belts seem worthless
since the windshield is close to the head. Short
of wearing a helmet, what are the alternatives
to avoiding injury in an accident?
